Do you live in West Dunbartonshire or have a connection to the area? Are you a mover and shaker who loves to dance, perform and boogie? Or do you know someone local who loves to bust a move?
Performance makers MHz and local arts organisation Clifftop Projects are looking for JOYOUS movers, shakers and local dance heroes to represent the energy and diversity of West Dunbartonshire. Hip-Hop, Bhangra, Jive, Northern Soul, Contemporary, Flamenco, Highland Dancing, Happy Hardcore… anything goes.

You are applying to be one of our 5 dancers who will feature in our up and coming show STRUT.
STRUT is a night-time dance performance which will take place on: Thu 7th and Friday 8th of November 2024

PAID OPPORTUNITY: £750 FOR EACH SELECTED DANCER
TO APPLY:

Duration: 2 min max, a simple, non-edited video filmed on a phone is perfect.
Best if you can show that you can dance whilst moving along like a parade would.
Also send us a text/email with your name, age and where you live.
When submitting your application please do let us know of any access requirements you may have and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. This could range from BSL or Language Interpretation to Childcare Costs or Travel Allowances. Just let us know what we can provide to support you to take part in this project.
DEADLINE: FRI 6th Sept 2024
To take part you must:
*Live in West Dunbartonshire or have a strong connection to the area.
*Be over 18 or have the authorisation from your parent/guardian. Under 16s must be accompanied to all rehearsals and performances by a parent or guardian.
*Be legally able to work in the UK
*Be able to be reached via a mobile phone number &/or email
*You must be able to commit to a 2 hour rehearsal (sometime between 28th Oct- 1st Nov) a full day group rehearsal on Sun 3rd Nov 2024 and 2 show days on Thu 7th and Friday 8th of November 2024
If you are selected we will ask to come to and perform at our finalists' audition on Sun 22nd Sept 2024. The decision will be taken by a panel consisting of local residents together with MHz.
